Why 275 grams

Most blank tees sit somewhere between 140 and 180 grams per square metre. It is a sensible weight. It is cheap to produce, it ships light, and it starts to lose its shape after a season.

The Earth Tone pieces are 275 GSM. Nearly double. A heavier cotton holds a shoulder line instead of collapsing into it, takes an embossed mark without the mark flattening out in the wash, and gets better rather than thinner with age.

It costs more to make and it is heavier to send. It is also the difference between a garment you keep and a garment you replace.
